The car I'm buying has already had Factory Flares installed, but also comes with a set of AutoAtlanta re-pros AND a set of Factory flares. I know AA's price is $1,095 for the re-pros and they sometimes run "Group Buys", so I would put the value of these at least $700. But what are Factory Flares worth? I thought I remembered seeing Martin Baker selling a set for $1,400. Would that be about right?

The last set of factory flares I saw went on Pelican were $1700 and that seems about right. Actually they were Martin's old flares that never got used.

Last set of "no primer" flares I saw went for $1400 on eBay, from what I can tell these would be very early ones.

The order of flares from what I have seen:
no primer
green primer
black primer

does this agree with what everyone else has seen?

I was incorrect about the set on Pelican...they were actually listed for $1600. Here is the link:

They were in black.

When I bought the flares for my project they were in green primer and $1400 from eBay. That was about 5 years ago.

Is there and difference in quality between the different paint?

The more strikes a die makes the more they wear, this sometimes causes waves and imperfect corners and edges.
I am pretty sure that the flares always needed some work to fit correctly.

Group buys on repro's were $600 if I recall. Factory seems to be in the $1400 - $1700 range.

I got my AA flares for $800 locally.
I got my factory flares for $1600, I believe these were Martins.
The finish quality of the factory flares is worth the $800 difference.

The AA flares are heavier, wavier and the inner lip will need a bunch of work before ready.

The radius where the lip turns under on the factory flares is tighter and more consistent.
