My 1970 914-6 has the original air box set-up with all parts. I have never seen this on any 914-6 in photo's. Can someone post a photo of one being used?
I am assuming that most were discarded when new, to increase power.

This goes on top of my 914-6, however, I have not seen it beofre on other 6's. I am talking about the black part on the passenger seat.

That is the factory 6 (engine) air cleaner, most car you see today have been converted to K&N filters

Have most of these been discarded, or does it hurt the performance.

No pictures , but it mounts with the intake towards the front of the car , and the snorkel tube pointing to the passenger side and a little down.
