Hmm, read the fine print carefully. They can sell your pictures anywhere, anytime thereafter without compensation. They are fishing for some saleable product I think.

I think I'd be happy without compensation, as it's unlikely I could sell any of my 914 photos for money even if I wanted to. :)

I did something similar in 1986. A nationl independent photog wrote me & wanted to do a photo shoot of my car. To be used in "major publications to come". He offered me no compensation, but a high free high-grade 24x24 photo of my choice at no charge.

If you've owned a 914 since the beginning (or close to), you know how your ego was savaged by 911 & 356 owners. No returned headlight flashes, a movement to have the 914 excluded from PCA, and because it was a NARP. So, my ego got in the way.

We did a very nice photo shoot on a dismal day, and he (Milt Kieft) was gone. Two weeks later I recieved my 24x24 by flat mail. It was/is impressive & on very high grade paper. I treasure it today & it's hanging right above where I'm putting this tome together.

My car was featured in "The Complete Book of Porsche" (1988), "The Great Book of Sportscars" (1988), "Porsche Chronicle" (1995), and "Porsche The Essence of Performance" (2000). I was paid zero, but I'm sure Milt got good money. Don't care - I've spent so many thousands of hours on this car that it was worth. They can use the pics all they want.

The only negative (in my mind) is that Milt must have sold exclusive rights to Consumers Report Publishing. I've always been negative about Consumers Report because I don't trust anyone who test washers to be competent to test computers, cars, etc. However, this is the publishing branch so it's OK.

Yeah, I'd do it again. It IS a 914/4! And, a 1.7 at that!
