Hi,

My '74 came without fog lights, so I'd like to transplant my fog lights from my '71. What's involved with the brackets specifically? I'll probably use a stock switch (from the '71), but will wire in two relays with the intention of upgrading to high wattage driving lights soon.

Anything else I should be looking out for? How about driving light recommendations?

Cheers,

The holes to mount the fog lite bracket are part of the front bulkhead

You could also just buy the CAMP 914 Pilot lite driving lite setup and install it. Fits great in the oem foglite grills and blasts the road with lite.

I should have mentioned that I looked at that kit, and I think I'm looking for something with a little more punch. We'll see though.

Thanks!

I thought Craig included the specially fabbed brackets so they mount up right.
If you just use what comes in the stock Pilot box they sits too far in.

Ahhh, I'll be fine fabbing something of my own - have welder, will travel.

Thanks for the heads up!

Sooooo, even though my '74 didn't come with fog lights, should I expect to find any fog light wiring up front when I start to dig around up there this week?

here is a picture of the stock bracket and the lite, it looks like you could extend the mounting hole to raise or lower the lite.

My '74 the wiring up front and the wires for the switch were neatly tucked up behind the dash so you should be all set.

Thanks Glenn and EJM! This should be pretty straight forward. :) Will post photos and such once I dive in.
