Group Buy on AA Steel Flairs: $650

I just got off the phone with George at AA. George stated he had over 30 sets in stock and on a group buy would sell for $650 as set.

A group buy will never happen with a post here or there, or a drawn out commitment time. I called George to discuss it with him.

Here is the deal:

1. Minimum of 30 sets need to be sold

2. Price is $650 plus shipping

3. People in an area can do central shipping to save on costs

4. Deadline is Monday

5. PM, email, or call me to get on the list

6. Payment will be by credit card directly with AA, Payment by Tuesday the 9th.

7. If more than 30 are interested, a waiting list will be started. Maybe we can get George to sell a few more, or those that don’t pay by the 9th will be dropped.

8. List will be prepared by date and time of contact.

Know: I am not making a single penny on this, this is friends working with friends.

Arrgg!! I so want to do this, but the timing is so bad. The Monday deadline doesn't give me much time to think about how to make this work.

Is there any way to 100% confirm AA has these ready to ship ?

George told me this morning that he has them in stock. I assume he would not agree to the group buy if he couldn't deliver. I have never had issues dealing with AA and will assume his word is good.

I have 11 commitments already. Should find 19 more over the weekend.

Those that have posted or PMed me, make sure I have your full name, city/state and phone number. I plan on calling everyone on Monday letting them know how to pay and trying to hook up people who are local to get some savings on bulk shipping.

The group buy is posted on four 914 sites. As of 10 p.m. Arizona time, only 12 sets left.

Wow, I both very surprised and very pleased you were able to get enough commitments, especially at this time of year and on such short notice. Since I already have a factory set sitting unused, I am not in the market. What are the purchasers going to do for rockers and valences I wonder.

I had a little fender bender and paid 400. from porsche 3 years ago for 1 left front. Thats my motivation.

Greg did a great job setting this up, If I get mine by next week (paid9:20am)

Well, it seems I find a new 914 site every week now. Needless to say, I found this one too late to take advantage of the group buy on fender flares. If anybody is having second thoughts about squirreling away a set for a rainy day and would be happier selling theirs, I'd be happy to buy them.
