Just found this on a german forum. A guy from the Netherlands has bought a 914-6 that was originally owned by the dutch Police "RIJKSPOLITIE", and now he's going to restore it to the original specifications.

He put the info on a homepage, unfortunately only dutch text.
see here (http://www.914parts.nl/index.php?cont=arno_6)

At the bottom of the text there is a link to more photos and additional info.

thought that might be interesting to some of you

Pretty cool! Guess you'd need an assist if you had to take someone in, though. Wouldn't want a drunk or nasty felon strapped in to my immediate right.

Sort of like the hypo Mustangs used in a number of areas around the US. Great for nabbing, but what do you do with them once they're caught?

I tried to pronounce the words in the text. My son said it sounded like Klingon when I talked. A most difficult language. I had a friend who went to work for KLM in their training departement. He TAUGHT HIMSELF to speak Dutch. Quite an accomplishement.
Cheers, Elliot

Hello 914-lovers,

I just registered to this forum. I am the Dutch guy who bought the Porsche 914-6 police car.

Indeed I am caught by the 914-virus for more than 20 years now. I hope you like the photos on my website. I'm updating my site regularly. My goal is to translate this site into English as well, so no need to speak Klingon or to put marbles in your mouth anymore :)

Geoff, next time when you're in the Netherlands, feel free to contact me. You're more than welcome.

Richard, come down to Seattle sometime and we'll speak Dutch with marbles in our mouths. If you can say Groningen properly you are doing great!! ha ha. Been there 3 times to stay with my GF's relatives.... and Jacco is from there.

Arno, I wanted to go visit you but time was really short this visit as we were there for only 30 days. I did go see Jeroen in Rotterdam, do you know him? He is building a 914/6 witha 3.2L in it. Great guy.
