old site now resurrected as 914World.com

I just logged in with my old name and password.

I see Andy has decided to take an extended break from the online 914 forums.

Dave, it's great to have the site back online and I'm looking forward to getting back to normal at 914World, as well as keeping up with the developing community here. Randy is a great guy, and I know this site is going to be a great asset for the 914 community.

Visited the 914 "whatever" site for a few minutes. It was nice to see all the old content back, but I wonder for how long. There must still be some legal issues with intellectual content, or we don't know who's bought what.

I'm not downgrading it, because of the wealth of info, but I'll maintain my allegiance here for now, though I'll play in the other site.

Have lots of questions about who's running/owning the show & what the plans are. All of those involved are stand up guys, so I hope it's "real".

However, I made a commitment here & will hold with it. Glenn & Randy stepped in when there was no real hope of the old site being made whole.

Besides, I'm a CW there & and "originality" guy here. So "torn between two lovers....."

I believe (post on NARP site from yesterday I think) that Andy and Brad came to an agreement to share the content. That each can do whatever they want. That Andy was going to take a break, and the other break away admins were going to be setting up a new site. I assume this is it. I also assume that Brad is working on trying to merging the old and new content.

I had a slew of URLs saved for various things and I tested one and it worked. All I had to do was change the domain name.

That's a fairly brief but correct assesment.
